Après une rencontre préliminaire à Bamako en décembre dernier, 2010 confirme l’internationalisation du réseau des Carrefours des Possibles. Carrefour des Possibles international oblige, les descriptions des projets sont en anglais.

To design electromagnetic tablets to capture handwritten information with embedded recognition engine
Our objective is to accelerate conversion of handwritten information into computer reusable data. We have developed a document uploading software that allows users to send any type of document to a searching platform, called ARCHeDOC. Designing a new A4 tablet with embedded handwriting recognition engine would solve two issues : erase or modify already written information instead of rewriting a whole page and auto-detect page change. Improvements also need to be made regarding battery issues. The Tablet could also embed optional communication technologies.
